Today’s smartphones are so sophisticated, and the technology so advanced, you can shoot a professional looking short movie, or even a full-length feature on your smartphone. Your phone probably shoots 4K broadcast quality images — something that many older expensive video cameras can’t even do.

Hands-on Class Project
Students write and direct their own short film based on a story the writing team has created, using the “5 shot” technique. Step 1: Write a scene or outline about two strangers coming into conflict. Step 2: Film your scene or outline in just 5 shots.
